Bringing Hope to Joselin - Nicaragua

Ashley Wilkins - Hand of Hope Medical Missions Director

We recently had the opportunity to host free medical and dental clinics in Nicaragua. During these clinics we met Joselin, the 6 year old daughter of a local pastor. We learned that Joselin battles a variety of health issues and was in need of some basic necessities, including a wheelchair. One of the medical volunteers on this outreach was so moved by Joselin’s needs that when she returned home from the outreach she purchased a wheelchair for Joselin with her own money. She flew back to Nicaragua on her own to personally deliver the wheelchair directly to Joselin and her family. The reunion was extremely touching and Joselin now has a brand new wheelchair.

We are honored to work with volunteers who are touched with compassion for others and continue to make a difference in the lives of people around the world. If you or someone you know is a medical or dental professional and would like to help make a difference in someone’s life, visit our website at joycemeyer.org/medicalmissions.
