A Phantom Nation

David L. Meyer – CEO Hand of Hope

During our visit to the Central African Republic this week someone called it "A Phantom Nation". Some words that are used to describe a phantom are: apparition, daydream, delusion, figment, hallucination, illusion, and a mirage. Not sure what message this sends to you, but to me it says that the Central African Republic is a forgotten land. It was amazing how many people had no idea where this country even was when I told them I was going. Well it will no longer be a phantom nation to Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hand of Hope.

While here, we arranged for Joyce's Enjoying Everyday Life TV program to be broadcast and distributed hundreds of her books – all in French with plans to ship more. We visited multiple projects and identified opportunities to help in a humanitarian way. Please pray for these precious people who have known years of war, famine and strife. In the midst of it all we met many happy people loving God.

Hand of Hope is the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Our goal is simply to help as many hurting people as we possibly can, to alleviate human suffering and to help Christians grow in their faith.
